We have been in business for four generations, started at Tattenhall by Mr. J T Vernon, great grandfather of Andrew Vernon who now runs the Food Hall in Holt.

When his great grandfather started, it was originally a country butchery business selling meat off the family farm, deliveries were then made by horse and cart and the refrigeration was blocks of ice which had to be collected from Chester Station.

Since Andrew took over, the business has grown from a family butchers into a Food Hall. They now have 4 delivery vans locally, and with the introduction of this Internet service now deliver nationally.

Andrews grandfather originally employed 1 person, but now Andrew employs 25, offering his customers finest quality of service.

At J T Vernon we have a very high standard of hygiene & modern up to date equipment which will see us well into the 21st Century, but if you call in to see us at anytime you will be transported back down memory lane for a wonderful experience in maintaining traditional values
